WEDNESDAY

today we went straight into our work carrying on with whatever stage we were up to. i cut out my base and began fitting by sides ends and base together to see if there was anything to fix up. i then cut my handle and chiseled out where the handle fits into the ends. after lunch we had an assessment on out last project and things we have learnt so far during the year. i think i did alright in this...i hope. after the assessment we carried on working. by the end of the day i have got my tool box together and just need to start assembling it:)






TUESDAY

today we carried on machining our timber and began the manifacture stage. i cut our my finger joints for my sides and ends. we then went into the library to research different types of glues. after this we went into the withdrawal room to present our research. after this we carried on with our tool boxes.


MONDAY

today we marked out our whole tool box, setting out all our joints and cuts so we were all ready to begin manifacturing the next day. we also glued up and and machined up our sides, ends and bases. we used the thicknesser to rip down our timber to size.

FRIDAY

today we carried on finishing our 1:1 scale drawings of the tool box.
we then cut and glued our sides together using glue and biscuit joints. after this we went to the library to work on out portfolio for our new project. good times....

THURSDAY

first thing this morning we were in the classroom working on our portfolios. we finished them by the time smoko came. after smoko we disussed our new project "the tool box" and began designing it on lare brown paper. we carried on doing this for the rest of the day stopping occasionally to discuss different methods and parts of the tool box.
i enjoyed today

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY

on tuesday we carried on with our saw horses. by the end of the day i was almost finished. we also researched different types of treated timber and gave a little presentation on them in groups. today (wednesday) i completed my saw horse and was happy with my job. i then went to the library to do my self analysis and construction sequence. we then talked about our next project, which is a tool box. tomorrow we will be design our tool box and getting started on cutting lists and stuff associated with the planning process.

MONDAY 15th OCTOBER

today was our first day back after a few weeks. we started the lesson talking about that we have been doing and the different roofs we have been working on. then we went into a discussion about our project and what we are to be doing fotr the next two weeks. we then hit thw workshop and continued on with our saw horses. we carried on all day until about 4 oclock where we wen to the library to research different types of pine and do these things. i thinktoday was alright. i look forward to start doing things such as roofing excercises rather than saw horses.
